Arnold Bartůněk patří k současným českým sochařům, hlásící se svým dílem k tradici figurálního sochařství. V roce 1982 absolvoval akademii výtvarných umění v Praze a od té doby vystavuje své sochy a kresby v Čechách i zahraničí. Arnold Bartůněk je činný také jako restaurátor soch a štuků, mezi nejznámější restaurovaná sochařská díla patří sochy atlantů M. B. Brauna- Clam-Gallasův palác v Praze.

 

Arnold Bartůněk usiluje o sílu výrazu a chuť povrchu plastiky všemi sochařskými prostředky a vždy s porozuměním využívá i celkového účinku specifického materiálu. Ke svým dílům se stále vrací, domýšlí a mění je, pracuje nejčastěji s kamenem (mramor, opuka) a kovem (bronz, cín).​

Arnold Bartůněk is one of the contemporary Czech sculptors, whose work follows the tradition of figurative sculpture. In 1982, Arnold graduated from the Academy of Art in Prague, and since then he has been exhibiting his sculptures and drawings in the Czech republic and abroad. Arnold Bartůněk is also active as a restorer of sculptures and stuccos, with some of the most famous restored sculptural works being the statues of atlantes by M. B. Braun at the Clam-Gallas Palace in Prague.

 

​Arnold Bartůněk strives for the strength of expression and the tactile quality of the surface of his sculptures through all sculptural means, and always with an understanding of the overall effect of the specific material used. He constantly returns to his works, rethinking and altering them, and he most often works with stone (marble, limestone) and metal (bronze, tin).
